Burningstar plodded ahead, the fire starting to lessen, as all four clans walked farther upstream. He stoped himself by a bout of coughing. He knew that he didn't have the sickness, though. He still needed to lead his clan.
Even though I'm on my last life..... he thought. Shadowstar, leader of Windclan, and the only other leader besides him left, was walking right next to him. They both were leading what was left of the clans.
If only we had Gazestar and Sunnystar here.... Thunderclan and Shadowclan need leaders. Burningstar thought, looking back at the cats. Concern filled thier eyes. But me and Shadowstar are all they have left of leaders, untill we can get somewhere safe, maybe connect with starclan so they can appoint new leaders.
But there's not that much left to lead.
Poppywing hurried along,

Tricklekit stumbled, the smoke was clouding her eyes. "How much longer??" She whined and a warrior of WindClan, Cloudfrost, picked her up.

"Only starclan knows." he said solemly.
"Starclan!" Swiftwing spat, coming up to them. "If they know, then they should tell us! I bet they even knew how we could have all survived." she said coldly, and spun around, dissapearing into the crown, coughing.
